Upcoming trade fairs in Paris you should not miss

February and March will bring some major trade fairs to Paris. These provide an opportunity for professionals to connect with other industry insiders and grow their networks. They are also essential events for anyone with a personal interest in the subjects being covered. Agriculture, tourism and books are on the agenda, and after busy days attending these shows you will delight in returning to the elegant setting of the Hotel BW Quartier Latin Panthéon, where quality services are at your disposal.

Major trade shows to attend in the coming months

The Porte de Versailles, the most prestigious exhibition hall in Paris, is the venue for each of the trade fairs we deal with below.

The Salon International de l’Agriculture

It has roots reaching all the way back to the country fairs of the 18th and 19th centuries, but it is mostly over the last fifty years that the reputation of this largest of France’s agricultural shows has reached international proportions. From February 21st to March 1st around 700,000 attendees are expected. They will be greeted by 1,300 exhibitors from 22 countries who will be displaying around 4,000 livestock. Areas covered include crops and nature, agricultural services, gastronomy and livestock breeding. There will be plenty of activities for the whole family.

The Salon Mondial du Tourisme

This world tourism fair deals with all aspects of the global travel industry and will take place from March 19th to 22nd. Around 3,300 professionals are expected to be present on the booths, along with nearly 6,000 other industry representatives. More than half of these will be tour operators and travel agents. This is a golden opportunity to learn all about the latest developments and the hottest new destinations.

The Salon du Livre

This leading book fair runs from March 20th to 23rd and some 200,000 are expected to attend. Publishers, designers, writers, booksellers and other professionals will be in attendance and the themed areas will deal with art, cookery, knowledge and learning, children’s books and science. New areas of interest this year are tourism and travel, and manga and comics.
